Senior leaders play a vital role in creating inclusive workplaces by role modelling inclusive behaviour and calling out behaviour that is not. Being an inclusive leader doesn’t require big, complicated actions or policies. To take the lead, try a small act of inclusion every day.
We’ve gathered stories and advice from senior leaders who participated in an Inclusive Leadership Experience program run by the Public Service Commission and Deloitte Australia in partnership with the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, Department of Justice and TAFE NSW.
The program supported leaders to develop capability in the six traits identified by Deloitte as fundamental to inclusive behaviour.
