Premier supports Leadership Academy

The first group of Deputy Secretaries (and equivalents) began their Leadership Academy program on Wednesday 22 October.

The year-long program begins with an assessment of current skills and capabilities based on 360 reviews and a two-day “day in the life of a Secretary” simulation – known as a development centre.

The results of these assessments are evaluated against the NSW public sector’s top Leader Success Profile to develop individual bespoke programs. Programs could contain a mix of some or all of the following: coaching, mentoring, formal education or secondments.

Premier Mike Baird congratulated the 12 pilot program participants at an informal lunch in late September as a part his personal commitment to executive leadership development in the sector.
