There are more women than men

Family & Community Services  has 76% women,  24% men; Health has 75% women, 25% men; Education and Communities has 74% women, 26% men; Premier and Cabinet has 66% women, 34% men; External to Government Sector has 54% women, 46% men; Treasury has 54% women, 46% men; Planning & Environment has 48% women, 52% men; Justice has 37% women, 63% men; Trade & Investment has 28% women and 72% men; Transport has 24% women and 76% men.

Women represent 62.4% of the public sector workforce. They are primarily employed in teaching, nursing, family and community services, and clerical positions, and are least likely to work in the transport, trade and justice sectors.
