The Infrastructure & Construction Project Leader (ICPL) Capability Set applies to all types of infrastructure projects and is comprised of twelve capabilities. It defines the key skills that people need to lead infrastructure projects and works in conjunction with the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework to support:
- role design and description
- recruitment
- performance management
- learning and development; and
- workforce planning
Note: the levels in the two instruments do not directly correspond as the ICPL requires specialised skills developed through tertiary education, training and occupational experience. The descriptors for the established level of the ICPL set reflect more complex skills and behaviours than those articulated at the foundational level of the Capability Framework.
