Graduate Diploma in Public Administration

The Graduate Diploma in Public Administration is an eighteen months part-time post graduate qualification. Six units are delivered by the Graduate School of Government at the University of Sydney.

NSW Executive Development Program

The Executive Development Program is a short course of approximately 10 days over 6 months. Three modules are delivered by an external course provider on behalf of the Public Service Commission.

The documents below will need to be accessed and completed to be considered for a centrally funded position on one of the programs.

For 2014, the application process will take place from 21 July to 10 September. The initial selection and prioritisation of individual applicants is the responsibility of each agency. The Public Service Commission allocates places to agencies.

The target group for all courses is high potential employees at Grade 11/12 through to Band 2 executives.

People Matter Employee Survey 2014 - main findings report

The People Matter Employee Survey Main Findings Report is now available and contains a rich analysis of whole-of-sector results. The Main Findings Report indicates a strong overall upward trend in results since the 2012 survey.

The results provide an important source of information that will be used in a number of ways. Employees are encouraged to read the results.

Government Sector Employment Act 2013

The Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (GSE Act) commenced on 24 February 2014 and repeals the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002 (PSEM Act).

The new Act is supported by the GSE Regulation 2014 and GSE Rules 2014.  The GSE Act, Regulation and Rules, along with other relevant materials are accessible via the EmploymentPortal – your online guide to NSW Government Sector Employment.
