Sector Reform

The Public Service Commission has a developing responsibility for specific sector reform initiatives that are critical to achieving policy outcomes and a broader reform agenda.

Tasked with a lead role in the design and implementation of workforce management strategies, with current focus on the implementation of certain recommendations in the Commission of Audit Interim Report, this section will list a growing number of initiatives that have been deployed to the sector. 

These initiatives compose a broader remit of one or more of the Commission's Performance, Capability, Public Sector Values and Innovation & Services Groups.

 People Matter Employee Survey 2014 - main findings report

The People Matter Employee Survey Main Findings Report is now available and contains a rich analysis of whole-of-sector results. The Main Findings Report indicates a strong overall upward trend in results since the 2012 survey. 

The results provide an important source of information that will be used in a number of ways. Employees are encouraged to read the results.

Government Sector Employment Act 2013

The Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (GSE Act) commenced on 24 February 2014 and repeals the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002 (PSEM Act).
